How Can We Be Bloggers If We Can't Be Friends

this is a great idea. good work Mike. Hopefully everyone can use this for those few (3) non-facebook users!

Welcome

Ah, blogging. Another way our generation has discovered to limit human interactions as much as possible. Yet the cross-country benefits cannot be overstated. So here we are.

Use this forum to tell stories, gripe, post photos, link to cool stuff, and so on. Because when it comes down to it, our other friends and families can only take so much on the wonders of mystagogy before stabbing themselves in the eye.

Only one rule: Post frequently. Few things are as sad as a neglected blog. Kind of resembles one of those cute tractors on West Quad after hours, longing for love and activity.

To get us started, here's my Echo poem from the retreat, an example of an acceptable post.

And God said to Jeremiah:
"Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you."
I wouldn't venture to say I'll ever know how God knows --
But it seems that we can live this, in a way:
Before we met, I knew you -- I loved you
In your Yes.
For here the world opened its arms wide,
and you found God in that embrace,
And you chose to linger there,
with me --
Amidst the poisonous chatter, in all our groaning, against the odds.
In the churned-out randomness of days, the grace sought us out
And pushed.
So, in our falling, before I knew your name or face,
I loved you.
